I postered the school with this invitation after a Town Hall meeting held to give people a chance to voice their thoughts on the new name for the school. Read about it on my blog. I didn't think it was necessary to go through a name change and be called a University as an art and design school. I supported my reasoning with research and held a forum to allow people to voice their concerns, not to come up with new names.

The name wasn't changed afterall. Maybe this prevented it from happening. From my understanding OCAD wanted to change its name. But now, it's just called OCAD University. I still don't get it government, it's all just semantics.
